For 2012, KYMCO is bringing back a new and improved version of the MAXXER 90 sports quad. Popular with riders aged 12 and older, as well as activity and trekking centres because of its excellent performance and superb handling, the fully automatic quad will arrive in the UK later this month priced at just £1999 including VAT.
Identified by its striking orange livery, the quad has also been chosen by Maxxis Tyres' to transport the Maxxis girls around the race circuits at this year's British Motocross Championships.
The MAXXER's 90cc engine is powered by KYMCO's latest air-cooled four-stroke engine and benefits from a rear disc brake for added stopping power. Features also include a smooth-shifting CVT automatic transmission, fully enclosed footboards, and electric and kick-start.
Additional safety devices include an adjustable throttle stop and lanyard 'off' switch, which gives youngsters and novices the freedom to develop riding skills and confidence, whilst allowing supervising adults to maintain control. The MAXXER's wide stance and larger tyres (18 x 9.8" rear and 18 x 7.8" front) also provide added stability.
For the first time, the MAXXER 90 also comes fully homologated for road legal use. This is of more significance to countries in mainland Europe who have lower legal driving ages than the UK, but being Euro 2 emission compliant does mean that compared to traditional off-road quads, the MAXXER 90 benefits from increased fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and lower noise levels. It also comes with a manufacturer's two-year unlimited mileage warranty
